ΜΗΚΙΣΤΕΥΣ

1. A son of Talaus and Lysimache, brother of Adrastus, and father of Euryalus of Thebes. (Hom. Il. ii. 566; Apollod. iii. 6. § 3; comp. EURYALUS.)

2. A son of Echius, and one of the companions of Teucer at Troy. (Hornm. Il. viii. 333; comp. Herod. v. 67.)

3. Mecisteus also occurs as a surname of Heracles. (Lycoph. 651.)
